AnyTech365 Marbella Tennis Open is finally here

On Saturday the 24th of October the celebration of the 3rd edition of the ATP Challenger will take place between the 24th of October and the 1st of November 2020 at the heart of the Golden Mile of Marbella at Puerte Romano Tennis Club.

AnyTech365 is presented as the main sponsor of Marbella Tennis Open and the CEO Janus R. Nielsen is very excited about the tournament.

“First of all, I am very happy that we finally can hold this tournament due to the current situation and I am sure it will be one of the biggest sports events in Marbella this year. Last year it was a big success and we only expect it to be even bigger in the future”, says Janus R. Nielsen, CEO of AnyTech365.

The Tournament Director Ronnie Leitgeb is also excited that the tournament finally is being held. “In March we were more than ready to start the tournament but due to the corona pandemic it was cancelled. Now I am very happy that we managed to be one of the few ones who can hold it. What is helping us a lot is that we have this great environment in Puente Romero where the players can stay in the hotel where the tennis club is just next to. Everything is going to be outdoor and we are doing the maximum to protect people”, says Ronnie Leitgeb.

The tournament is an ATP Challenger. The ATP Challenger is a series of international men’s professional tennis tournaments. After ATP World Tour, Challenger Tour events are the second highest level of competition.

“The level of tennis is more than guaranteed on the Marbella clay because we have around 10 players within the Top 100 players in the world. Personally, I am very excited to follow the talented Dane Holger Rune, who won French Open at junior level. I am happy and proud that Holger did say yes to the Wild Card we offered him”, says Janus R. Nielsen.

Live Streaming

It will not be possible for spectators to go and watch the games from Saturday to Wednesday, but from Thursday to Sunday spectators are allowed – here the amount of people will be limited due to the corona pandemic. But at the latest press conference, some good news was announced to the public.

It will be possible to follow the matches through the websites of two of the sponsors, www.AnyTech365.com and www.MARCA.com, every day from 11.00 o`clock. The live streaming is in high-quality and after the games you can follow the post-match interviews on court.

In addition, during the last weekend, spectators will also be able to experience the outcome of the tournament through Eurosport and LaLigaSportsTV, thanks to the agreement reached with the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation.

COVID-19 protocol

Due to the current situation, a COVID-19 protocol has been established in collaboration with the ATP and the health authorities to minimize the risks of contagion between players, staff and the public.

All players and staff will be accommodated at Puente Romano Beach Resort, with all the amenities at their disposal, so it will not be necessary to leave the venue. The players and staff will take a PCR test before and during the tournament. Also, the players will not have contact with anyone outside the court and therefore stay the minimum time possible in the common facilities.

It is mandatory to wear facemasks and there will be temperature control and monitoring record of all attendees, as well as hydroalcoholic gel posts throughout the venue.

Also, tickets will not be sold at the box office to avoid interpersonal contact. This year it is only possible to buy the tickets online.
