Hotel Los Monteros will host the second edition of Chefs & Kids that will bring together 27 Michelin Star chefs

The cooking workshops with children and the Gala Dinner will take place in the hotel complex on May 20 and will be held in support of the Aladina Foundation.

The Hotel Los Monteros de Marbella hosted this morning the presentation of the second edition of Chefs & Kids, a charity initiative that will bring together 27 chefs with Michelin stars on May 20.

The presentation included participation of chefs Dani García, Paco Roncero, José Carlos García, Paco Morales, Mauricio Giovanini, Juan José Carmona, Marcos Granda, Juanlu Fernández, Diego del Río and Sebastián Conejo. They will be joined at the event by other renowned chefs such as: Martín Berasategui, Ángel León, Eneko Atxa, Elena Arzak, Paolo Casagrande, Diego Guerrero, Paco Pérez, Fina Puigdevall, Mario Sandoval, Óscar Velasco, Kiko Moya, Jesús Sánchez, Ramón Freixa , Ricard Camarena, Erlantz Gorostiza, Ricardo Sanz, Benito Gómez and Diego Gallegos. All together they have more than 45 Michelin Stars. It is the only event, apart from the Michelin Gala, which every year brings together all the chefs with this title.

This year the charity side of the project will be made through an economic contribution to the Aladina Foundation, which for 13 years, has been providing emotional, psychological and material support to children and adolescents with cancer and their families.

Under the slogan ‘With food there’s play’, all chefs will share cooking workshops on the day of the event in the gardens of the hotel complex with more than 150 children from various schools in the town and the Andrés Olivares Foundation of Malaga. They will also pose in a fun photo shoot that will illustrate a charity calendar for the Aladina Foundation.

As a finishing touch, there will be a gala dinner that will offer a tasting menu in which each dish will be prepared by one of the eight Michelin-starred chefs from the province of Malaga: Dani García, José Carlos García, Benito Gómez, Diego Gallegos, Mauricio Giovanini, Juan Jose Carmona, Marcos Granda and Diego del Río, together with the restaurant team of Hotel Los Monteros and its executive chef, Sebastián Conejo. All attendees can share a table with the participating chefs.

Chefs & Kids is a charity event that was born in 2018 with the aim of engaging children and bringing them closer to the culinary culture, without forgetting the support for the most disadvantaged. This is a project in which children learn in a fun way to differentiate the ingredients and to recognize the flavors and smells through cooking workshops with chefs.

The city of Marbella and the Hotel Los Monteros SPA & Golf Resort 5 * GL will be, for the second year in a row, the marvelous enclaves in which the activities programmed in Chefs & Kids will be “savored”. And in those that again have the unconditional support of the City of Marbella and the Diputación de Málaga, through the brand ‘Sabor a Málaga’ that provides local products.
